Basic Care of Stone Countertop and Sinks
Stone is a natural product, simple care and maintenance will keep it looking beautiful for many years. Here are some recommendations for routine care and cleaning.
- Stone should be washed with a clean, soft cloth and fresh warm water.
- Do not use abrasives cleaners or cleaners containing grit to polish stone surfaces.
- Absolutely no sandpaper.
- Oil based product spills can stain and cause discoloration. If a spill occurs, clean it up as soon as possible and do not allow it to sit on the stone for any length of time.
Basic Care of Ceramic Sink
Ceramic sinks will last a long time if properly maintained. Clean the surface with mild soap and warm water and dry it with a soft cloth. For heavy duty cleaning, use any general purpose cleaner.
Basic Care of Stainless Steel Sink
Rinse your sink thoroughly after each use and towel dry. This inhibits the buildup of mineral deposits. Do not leave soaps and other cleaners in your sink to dry. Do not use solutions with bleach. All of these chemicals may damage the sink if left on its surface. Scour the sink weekly and please ensure that you rub in the direction of the satin finish lines. |
